New York City(CADILLAC FILMS) October 15, 2008— Three years since principal photography began with a mere $20,000 budget, the highly-anticipated “Williamsburg” will come out on Collector’s Edition DVD. Brad Saville’s first picture takes place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn: the hip, upstart, intellectual Mecca of New York City, the land where people would rather be artists than make art. “Williamsburg” is a voyeuristic picture about seven ‘artists’ living in the eclectic Brooklyn neighborhood and their comical, usually absurd, intertwining lives.
The Collector’s Edition DVD has special features, including commentary with Writer/Director Brad Saville, Deleted Scenes, and Behind-the-Scenes footage.
The picture has an up-and-coming, NYC-ensemble cast from both Off-Broadway and the Independent Screen: Penny Bittone, David Marcus, Russ Russo, Olja Hrustic, and Anna Lamadrid, Jeff Roll, and Evertz Saenz-Perez. It was written and directed by Brad Saville.
Brad Saville is a novelist, playwright, and filmmaker. His novel Grotesque was published when he was 23. Brad also directed and produced the picture, A Night with Mark Murphy, a gritty look at the Grammy-Nominated vocalist performing at the famous Iridium Jazz Club in NYC. His plays Jism, Mint Julep, Gregor,Love’s a Bitch, Crazy, The Brothers Slaughter, Two Rooms in Davis, Monkey Trick, and Yermo Blues have all been produced on stages throughout New York City.
The Collector’s Edition of “Williamsburg” will be available at all major online retailers, cadillacfilms.com, and at your friendly neighborhood video store on November 5th, 2008.
